Preparation for your trip
Equipment
Before starting your journey, you will need to do several steps for avoiding problems that might occur. Our team will send you instructions with an individual list of polar clothing you will need to buy before the trip. Also, we will be happy to help you if some questions will pop up.
Antarctica is an unpredictable place in terms of weather.
So it is better to be ready for any weather conditions and ask us if you are worried about how your journey will be.
Cape Town
Guests are recommended to arrive in Cape Town in advance, like two days before departure and stay there for two days after the scheduled return. We are asking you to do so just in case of any weather changes during travel dates.
All tourists will have a briefing in Cape Town the day before their scheduled departure.
Flight from Cape Town
From South Africa to Antarctica and back, the flight will be performed by a comfortable Gulfstream G550 private jet. It will take you 5 hours.
The capacity is a maximum of 12 guests.
There is an infrequent opportunity to land your aircraft on the only runway in Antarctica designed explicitly for private jets.
The good news is that we will help the owners of such aircraft to land and get an unforgettable adventure experience.
Antarctic
You will travel across Antarctica using a DC-3 Basler or a Basler BT-67 with the latest equipment and skis for landing on snow or ice.
